Arnold Palmer was a blue-collar kid from Latrobe, PA who ended up transcending the game of golf. There was nothing upper-crust or elitist about him, which is part of why he endeared himself to an entire generation of golf fans. Though I’m sure he’d brush aside any comparisons with deft humility, Rickie Fowler has more in common with The King than perhaps any other modern player.
As such, it’s fitting that Fowler with the support of Puma Golf will again don Palmer-inspired gear this week at Bay Hill for the Arnold Palmer Invitation.
