Fresh off the holiday weekend, it nearly went unnoticed that the USGA added a new version of Nike's Vapor Fly driver to its conforming list. Specifically you're looking at the Vapor Fly TW (Version 2).
If you find yourself immediately wondering how you missed Version 1, it's likely because the initial revision never made it to the conforming list.
As is always the case with USGA photos, scale can be difficult to ascertain, but the bonded hosel, apparently smaller footprint, and of course, the inclusion of a TW logo make it pretty easy to draw inferences about what Nike was thinking with this one.
In the past I would have told you that the odds were against this one every being available to the public, but given Nike's recent propensity for all things Limited Edition, I wouldn't complete rule out the possibility of some of these finding their way to Nike.com.
Is that something you'd like to see?
