MyGolfSpy is excited to announce that it has entered into multi-year partnership agreements, which will expand its influence into the world’s 2nd and 3rd largest golf markets. The licensing deals include the launch of two MyGolfSpy affiliated websites, MyGolfspy.jp and MyGolfSpy.kr, where MyGolfSpy’s content will be featured alongside unique stories produced for their respective audiences.
Powered by its consumer-first approach and unbiased Most Wanted golf equipment testing system, MyGolfSpy has reached more than 7 Million golfers in 2017. Its readers are among the most engaged in the golf community. MyGolfSpy’s growing influence, coupled with its dedication to serving the golf consumer with detailed, unbiased, and honest coverage of the golf equipment industry made it an ideal fit for its new partners who were looking for an opportunity to evolve their coverage of the golf industry during a time when traditional mediums are dying.
For MyGolfSpy, the new agreements will allow it to bring its message to a greatly expanded audience.
“Our job is to put the best gear in your bags and on your back,” says MyGolfSpy Founder, Adam Beach. “These international partnerships give us the opportunity to deliver our message beyond our backyard, and help golfers all over the world.”
Golf Partner, Japan’s largest golf equipment retailer, will manage MyGolfSpy.jp. In addition to translating and delivering MyGolfSpy content for the Japanese market, Golf Partner will feature Most Wanted winners in all of its 350 retail locations.
Future plans for Golf Partner include expansion into the US via retail locations where it will sell both new and used JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) equipment.
Our Korean partner believes the partnership with MyGolfSpy can help nurture a more fact-driven equipment culture in Korea. "The Korean market is still driven by hype and marketing. By delivering MyGolfSpy’s consumer-driven content to the Korean audience, we have an opportunity to shift buying habits towards products that benefit the golfer." - James Chang (MyGolfSpy Korea Partner)
In the future and as part of the agreements, MyGolfSpy will integrate Japanese and Korean market equipment into its annual testing programs.
For the last eight years, I’ve been committed to building a platform where the consumer always comes first,” says MyGolfSpy Editor, Tony Covey. “To be rewarded with an opportunity to bring our unbiased approach to equipment testing to an entirely new audience is absolutely incredible. I’m humbled that our new partners see value and opportunity in what we do, and I’m excited to serve our new Japanese and Korean readers with that same level of commitment.”
Both MyGolfSpy.jp and MyGolfSpy.kr are up and running now.
