Given options of form and function, generally limited edition releases are heavy on the former. Such is the case with Callaway’s Mack Daddy 4 Tactical wedge.
It’s the same MD4 wedge Callaway released in January with Groove-in-Groove technology, a refined tour shape, and abundance of loft/bounce configurations.
What’s different is the exterior. A Tactical PVD finish, black PVD face, and black medallions along with a limited-edition Dynamic Gold S200 Tour Issue shaft and military green Lamkin grip produce a wedge with an aggressive nod to the armed forces.

Limited Edition releases are often thinly veiled cash grabs, but that doesn’t appear to be the case here. While the price jumps $30 (retail is $179.99) Callaway is donating a portion of proceeds to the Birdies for the Brave Foundation, a national military outreach initiative. Additionally, Callaway is offering a 15% discount to all active, reserve, and retired military veterans.
Callaway billed the MD4 as its most tested and researched model to date, and with this release, it gives consumers another avenue to show appreciation and support for all of our service men and women.
