This is a new space where we will bring together some of the most talented creators and designers inside and outside the golf space and share their passions with the world. Our first collaboration is with LabWorx who helped us create one of the coolest things we’ve ever done at MyGolfSpy. If you're a #SneakerHead, I'm pretty sure you've already heard of YouTube star Kustoo. No? Let's just say he is more than a little bit famous in the shoe world. He's also super passionate about golf.

Before Nike all but exited the golf biz, we got to know Jacques Slade (AKA Kustoo) just a little bit on the Swoosh’s golf media circuit. He even wrote a couple of stories for MyGolfSpy about some of the iconic Nike sneakers that had been adapted for golf.

So, a few months back when we decided we were ready to get serious about video, we reached out to Kustoo - whose popular unboxing videos have propelled him to icon status in sneakerhead circles - for some advice on how to get rolling with what we hope will grow into a successful video presence for MyGolfSpy.

 

 

He provided us with some great info, helped us set reasonable expectations for ourselves and our channel, and was just incredibly generous with his time.

Soon after, we came up with an idea for a cool and unique way to say thank you, so we asked Kustoo about his all-time favorite shoe, and then we reached out to golf equipment customizations specialists Labworx to help us bring our idea for a sneaker themed putter package to life.
